Year 10

Job Search Afternoon

This afternoon event was the culmination of the Year 10 classroom Careers program and the work that students have undertaken this semester to create detailed resumes, prepare job application letters and present effectively in a job interview. It was a valuable opportunity to test and trial interview technique and answers and all students gained individual feedback after their interview.

Students brought along their completed resumes and participated enthusiastically and confidently in a 15-minute individual job interview, followed by a group interview run by Pastor Matt and a wellbeing session and afternoon tea with College Psychologist, Mrs Danielle Bruce.

My thanks go out to the great team of teachers and employers who assisted as volunteer interviewers for the afternoon. The parent and employer team were Sheryl Barker, Matthew Destry, Paul Waite, Philip Scharp, Gavin Russell-Rockliff, Daniel Gaschk, Travis Bail and Syndy Green. Additional thanks go to Pastor Matt Daly and Mrs Danielle Bruce for running sessions across the afternoon. You will see here a snippet of photos from the afternoon!
