Tutor Enrichment Program Wrap Up for 2023

This year has seen more students than ever, since the Department of Education introduced the Tutor Learning Initiative in 2020, take part in the EPS Tutor Program.

Working in small groups of like learners withdrawn from class several times per week, working 1:1 with tutors or working in class with tutors, settings and structures were designed to best support individual students and their teachers. All students who participated in the tutor Program will have a Tutor Learning Report section in their end of year reports, written by our tutors.

I would like to thank our tutors, classroom teachers and students for their positive approach, support and participation in the program.

I would like to thank our school families and community for valuing and prioritising the learning of all our students through their ongoing support. Thank you also to those families who responded to the recent survey about the Tutor program; responses were largely appreciative of the work, and also helped us to map out future directions and improvements.

Lastly, I would like to thank Michael Portaro, Nicola Smith and the School Council for ensuring that the learning and well-being of all our students remains at the forefront of the school’s direction, and decision making, by providing the planning, scope and financial support to ensure this can happen.

We look forward to being able to provide an even broader and more communicative Tutor Enrichment Program in 2024 to support the learning and development of our students.
