NETBALL
Last Saturday morning, at Pedrina Park all four of our College netball teams took the court for round 6.
In our 7/8 teams, College Magpies were up against Monivae Green. Despite the girl's strong efforts and Anna Lanyon's very accurate shooting, they were unable to come away with a win and went down 41-19. College Vixens came up against Monivae Blue, the two sides were very evenly matched. Unfortunately, they didn’t manage the win, only going down by 4 with a final score of 22-26.
Our 9-12 teams had a bit more of a successful morning. College Swifts took on Moniave Purple and played a very strong game right from the start. The girls built up a decent lead and came away with a win of 23-15. College Diamonds played Monivae White, the girls started strongly and despite losing one player before halftime due to injury, Pepper Bowes and Elsie Adams were able to fill in and the team continued to play seamlessly. Through the help of these girls, the Diamonds were able to pull away with a win of 29-25.
Thank you to all involved on Saturday and we will see you all again this Saturday for the final round of Term Four netball!
