Boarding House

- Mr Andrew Monk

The benefits of boarding are extensive, and many of our students take up this opportunity either as a full-time boarder or a casual boarder in their time at College. Our environment of boarding is one providing pastoral, social, emotional, and academic support for students to sustain an effective rhythm in achieving their potential.

This routine of evening study becomes a positive influence upon all senior students whereby the temptation to be distracted by social media or television or to cut short a study session is reduced due to our in-house supervision. It is also this supervision that becomes a motivator and champion for the boarders to continue working toward achieving their best.

Our Boarding House not only provides excellence in pastoral care and support, but it is the first-class accommodation facilities, a nutrition program, medical care, and an approach overseeing a regular study routine that all students should have an opportunity to access. Set upon 24 acres, with basketball and tennis courts, equestrian facilities, a football and cricket oval, and an undercover outdoor area, the boarding houses and its extensive grounds allow boarders to live a life balancing school, the natural outdoors, and their sporting commitments.

With parents planning the start of 2024, boarding tends to be discussed at the family table. Generally speaking, our families will visit the boarding house or try boarding on a casual basis when there is also a sporting or co-curricular commitment taking place.

If you would like to take the opportunity to visit the Boarding House or to try casual or full-time boarding, please don’t hesitate to contact Andrew Monk or our College registrar, Susie Holcombe.
