Principal's Message to the School Community

Dear KPS Community

The School Council is delighted to advise that we received confirmation from the Victorian Minister for Education that our funding application completed by the Grounds & Facilities sub-committee for the refurbishment of the Kyneton Primary School oval has been approved.

The allocated funding, with the addition of a grant received earlier in the year from the Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund, means that we will now be able to repair the oval and use it to its full potential throughout the year.

The project works will include a new drainage and irrigation system and new turf and will be led by the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) in close consultation with our school. The combined funding will cover all costs associated with the project.

The VSBA will work with us over the next two months to clarify and finalise the scope of the project, and we will provide you with further details, including expected start and completion dates in due course.

This is a great outcome, and we look forward to having the oval transformed into a wonderful space that everyone in the school and community can enjoy.

In other good news for our grounds our latest shade sail over the tiered seating near the basketball courts was installed yesterday.
