Secondary Sub School News

Dear Secondary Team,

I hope you’re all enjoying the warmer weather! It’s been wonderful seeing the excitement around the secondary classes, particularly with our Farm Animal Incursion and the other engaging programs currently running at the school.

Reporting:

A huge thank you to those of you who have already submitted your sample reports. I’ve had a chance to read through them, and I’m truly impressed with how well they reflect your understanding of our students. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. As you continue with your reports, please refer to the report presentation by Dan for guidance and support.

Class Lists: 

This week, our focus will be on reviewing the class lists during our Classroom Team Meetings (CTMs). I encourage you to use the digital version for ease of collaboration. Please take time during your CTM to discuss any concerns or considerations regarding students in all classes, including any special interests or needs. Kindly forward your feedback to me by 4:00 PM, Friday 15th November.

Toilets in the Yaluk Building (Near the Kitchen):

Please note that the male toilets in this area will be out of bounds until further notice. Unfortunately, there have been ongoing issues with students disrespecting the facilities—flushing rolls of toilet paper, causing blockages, and vandalizing the space. We are addressing the issue and will keep you updated.

Here are some key dates to remember, I am sure I have missed a few but will add to these as the term goes on. 

• SSG meetings will be starting soon. Please make sure all meeting times are scheduled and that you have the necessary data and goals prepared for discussions with parents. This is an important opportunity to ensure we continue providing support for our students.
• Group 1 Camp. (Leaving 25/11/24 Back on the 27/11/24)
• Group 2 Camp (Leaving 04/12/24 Back on the 06/12/24)
• Year12 Graduation - 6/12/24
• Curriculum Day – 13th December
• Last Day of School – 20th December: Students finish at 1:00 pm
