Hi PSS
Welcome to this week's edition of the Staff News Bulletin! As we continue to work together to provide the very best learning experience for our students, I want to take a moment to celebrate our successes, share important updates, and keep everyone in the loop about upcoming events.
Playground 2
Please can I ask that, if you notice sand has spilled into the walkway around the sandpit in Playground 2, that you let your team know that you will be a few minutes late back to your room and sweep it up. The brush and dustpan are kept in the walkway between the SSL office and the staffroom next door. Many thanks for your support in keeping us all safe.
Reports
Thanks so much for sending through your report samples. It was lovely to read about the progress that our students have made and celebrate their accomplishments. Please ensure that you have read the guidance in the presentation from Dan and referred to the supports students benefit from as well as their prompt level.
Classroom Team Meetings
The focus for Classroom Team Meetings in Week 6 is to discuss the Class Lists. PLEASE DO NOT PRINT this copy out as there is an increased risk of privacy and confidentiality being breached. I encourage you to use only the digital version. Please use your Classroom Team Meeting this week to discuss any potential ‘concerns” or “interests” for all classes and forward these to your SSL by 4pm Friday 15 November.
Moving forward, please continue to complete your Student Profiles. These are to be uploaded on Xuno. Please let me know if I can support in any way.
PDP’s
Reviews of PDP’s are occurring in the coming weeks. Please take time to review whether what you have achieved has aligned with your goal developed in Term 1. Thanks to everyone who has arranged a meeting to discuss your progress.
Key Dates & Events
- SSG Meetings – Mid/Late Term: These will be happening later in the term. Please ensure you’re prepared by gathering relevant data, reviewing goals, and setting up times with parents once slips are received. These meetings are crucial for providing ongoing support to our students and reviewing their progress, particularly heading into the end of the year.
- Transition to 2025 Classrooms – Week 11: As we approach transition week, please consider how best to support students during this time,. Help them feel confident and prepared as they meet their 2025 classmates and teachers.
I hope you are able to enjoy the warmer weather.
Best wishes
Michelle
