Year 10 ODE Camp

The Dwellingup Mountain Biking and Hiking expedition was held last week by the Year 10 Outdoor Education groups. Two classes with a total of 27 students went mountain biking, hiking and camping in the Dwellingup region to practise the skills they had learned in class during this semester.

Initially Group 1 rode the Munda Biddi Trail from Dwellingup to Chuditch, and Group 2 hiked from Dwellingup to the Holyoak Rail Crossing on the Bibbulmun track. The groups then swapped activities the next day. Although challenging at times, it was great to hear that the students were able to overcome the difficulties and complete the trails. The camping and cooking activities in the evening provided them with a chance to further enhance their outdoor skills and bond as a group. The group debrief was a valuable opportunity for reflection and sharing their experiences.
