Toy Fund Concert:
Monday 16th December: 9.05am to 9.30am
Our final whole school assembly for 2024 will be a Toy Fund Concert and all families are welcome to attend. Students may dress in Christmas colours, costumes or outfits to make it a bright and joyous occasion.
As we know, this time of the year can be particularly challenging for many families who are struggling financially or otherwise, and as a result, unable to engage in seasonal festivities. Although Christmas isn't always a happy time for some families, we can make a difference to the lives of children by donating a toy that may brighten their day.
Families may donate a new toy to the Salvation Army that is not wrapped, however they may like toplace a small gift card with their first name on the toy if they want to. Not wrapping the toy gives the Salvation Army a chance to offer toys to children that really appeal to them.
Students will take their donated toy to class first before our placing it under Mackellar's Christmas tree that will be close to the school's entrance. Once again, Captain Chad Cole from the Salvation Army will attend our annual Toy Fund Concert and collect the toys so that children receive them before Christmas.
Mackellar's Family Market Garage Sale - Tuesday 17th December: 2.30pm to 3.30pm
