Reporting to Parents

On Monday, staff spent time completing assessment analysis and report-writing for our students, to ensure you have accurate and informative end-of-semester reports for each of your children. These reports will be available on Compass as of 4pm on Friday 13th December. 

We hope you enjoyed the long weekend and used the time to rest and recharge.

Outside School Hours Care

At Box Hill North Primary School and Kindergarten, Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is currently contracted to Camp Australia, who took over from KidsCo just under two years ago. As Camp Australia’s contract ends at the end of this year, School Council made the decision to explore all available options. 

As a result of a thorough tender process, the decision has been made to move our OSHC services to TheirCare. Having met several members of the TheirCare team already, and worked with them at previous schools this year, I feel very positive about this move, and encourage you to attend their online information session, due early December. More information about that will be distributed in coming weeks. 

Below is some information to begin learning about how TheirCare will work with Box Hill North PSK. If you have previously opted out of OSHC at BHNPSK, I encourage you to try booking in again early next year. 

Chinese Community Morning Tea

This morning (Thursday) we held a morning tea and information session for our Chinese parent community. Shao-Ling (Shelley) led the session by providing valuable information to our parents about student learning – reading, writing, homework and expectations. I spoke about attendance, student engagement, amongst other things. I am always so grateful to our parents for showing up to information sessions. Thank you to those who were able to make it!

FOUNDATION 2025 Transition

We are very excited to welcome our 2025 Prep students into school for Transition Sessions this year. During these Transition sessions, we will be offering parent information sessions and morning tea in our Community Room. A schedule of these Parent Information Sessions will be distributed to all enrolled families next week. 

2025 Prep Information Night - Thursday 28th November, 5.30pm-6.30pm

We will also hold a 2025 Prep Information Night on Thursday 28th November, 5.30pm-6.30pm. We look forward to meeting with as many of our 2025 Prep parents as possible at this event. Tea/Coffee/Biscuits will be provided.
