Year 8 Boys - State Basketball

What an incredible experience for our Year 8 Boys to compete at the State Basketball Championships in Melbourne last week!

The boys displayed immense defensive pressure and a fast paced offensive game against some tough competition.

Vibes were at an all time high when Lynkoln Richardson hit a 3 pointer in the last 30 seconds of the second game to secure a win!

Best players of the day were Mr Gounder for his great photography skills, and Keoni A on the court.

We are all incredibly proud of the boys and their efforts and would like to thank Mr Berg for coaching the boys to state level!

Year 7 Boys - State Tennis

Last week, five Year 7 Boys travelled to Glen Waverly to compete in the State Tennis Championships.

The boys had an excellent day, resulting in one win and two losses to place 3rd in their pool - which was an incredible effort at State level!

Our standout player for the day was Tom Alberni who showed grit and determination in all of his matches.

We would like to congratulate the boys for representing the school with such pride and also give a big shout out to our coaches Mr Cantwell and Mrs Dicketts for training and supporting our boys throughout the tournament

Year 7 Girls Cricket - State Quarter Finals

Our Year 7 girls put up a very spirited fight in Bendigo last week for the state cricket quarter finals, against Thornbury High School.

They were outstanding with both the bat and ball and did it all with a smile on their faces!

Sarah Head stood out with the bat scoring 13, while Lucy Smith bowled really well, and Evie Dickenson did an excellent job behind the stumps wicketkeeping.

The girls actually tied scores with Thornbury - but as we dropped a few more wickets than them it ultimately meant we lost in the end.

Super proud of the girls on their efforts and grateful to our staff Yosie Beggs, Reggie Chakabva and Sophie Harding-Davis for cheering them on!
