CRAFT
Students in classes one to six are enthusiastically continuing their knitting projects, which began in term three. As they complete their work, each student is given the opportunity to discuss and decide how they’d like to transform their knitting. Some have chosen to follow a pre-set pattern, making a teddy bear, while others are unleashing their creativity to design unique toys, bags, or other imaginative creations.
Our Prep students are making great progress with their Knitting Nancy projects. As they finish, they will soon move on to crafting God’s eyes and exploring weaving, time permitting.
Grade Six students are working on their graduation toys, and the results are truly spectacular. The variety of creative and innovative designs showcases their talent and effort as they prepare these special keepsakes.
We are thrilled to announce that our artworks will be on display during the Music/Art/Craft Expo on Friday, 6th December (Week 9). This event will coincide with TPS Summer Sessions #2 and will feature:
- A showcase of student art and craft projects.
- Music performances by students.
- An open art room for creative art-making activities.
There will be a compass post also asking for community volunteers to help with the set up and supervising the art room art activities.
We can’t wait to celebrate the creativity and talent of our students with you. We hope to see you there!
To support student learning, parents are invited to help in the art room. You will need a current working with children check. Please sign in at the office before you come to the art room.
