IbbottHouse Captains introduce themselves
Hi, I’m Grace, I’m your Ibbot vice-captain for 2025.
This year I’m hoping to see everyone using the school values.
One thing I love about our school is our house program because it helps to bring us together and have fun!
In school, I enjoy hanging out with friends and being social. Outside of school I love reading and listening to music.
This year I hope that we can all enjoy house lunches and friendly competitions. GO IBBOTT!
Hello students, staff and parents of IPS.
My name is Charlotte, and I am a student in class 6H.
Boy, am I thrilled to be your Ibbott House Captain.
A couple of things about me. My favourite subjects are Reading and Physical Education.
Some of my hobbies include swimming, netball, and gymnastics. I am also learning to play the piano.
There are a couple of things that I particularly love about this school.
The first is that students and staff represent one big community, and we always aim to help each other out.
The next aspect that encourages me about being at IPS is that it provides leadership roles so people like me can gain the confidence to, among other things, speak to large crowds.
It’s my intention this year to lead Ibbott House to yet another win; this will be the fifth time since its creation in 2014.
GO IBBOTT !
Good morning students, staff and parents of IPS.
My name is Sean and I am your 2025 Ibbott house Captain!
At school I like to talk to my friends and do math exams... I can't see why you guys aren't agreeing.
Out of school I love to swim and play basketball, and when I'm lucky, hang out with my friends.
Come on Ibbott! Follow the school values and lead us to victory!
Hi my name is Daniel;
I’ll be your 2025 Ibbott house captain.
We as house captains, will ensure fun and excitement for the new coming year. Make sure to be on your best behaviour, as we will be popping by each classroom to check on how you’re going and look at selecting students for the House Captain award.
I like reading and I like to solve mathematical problems. Outside of school, I play tennis and basketball. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially on school holidays.
As a house captain, I’ll do my best to continue Ibbott’s winning victories. Go Ibbott!
The beginning of the school year sees a focus on our Start Up program, where students learn more about our school values and expectations.
Students in 5T collaborated to create class posters of each of our school values.
The class also created individual posters about what a successful learner does. Have a look a their thoughts....
George presents his Share and Learn
Last Sunday 9th February, George took 5 bags of aluminum cans to a Container Recycling Depot, in Carrum Downs, to recycle the cans. There were lots of families recycling their bottles, cans and plastic containers.
George operated the recycling machine. The machine had a conveyor belt which collected and counted all of the cans.
The machine added 10 cents per can, and when it was finished counting all the cans it printed a paper receipt with the total amount.
George took the paper receipt to the depot Automatic Teller Machine (ATM). The ATM scanned the paper receipt and dispensed cash.
George made $35. George says this is a great way to get more people involved in recycling and caring for the environment.
