Nominations close 4pm on Thursday the of 13th February
Wednesday 26th February - First meeting of School Council. (6PM START)
IPS is calling for nominations for the 2025 School Council.
There are four parent category vacancies and two Department of Education vacancies to be filled. Nomination forms are available from the office or can be downloaded below.
There are two types of parent member category nomination forms – Form 3 ‘Self Nomination’ form or Form 4 ‘Nomination form’. Form 4 is used when a school parent nominates another school parent.
The election timeline is as follows:
Wednesday 29th January Notice of Election and call for nominations.
Thursday 13th February (4pm) Close of nominations.
Friday 14th February Display list of nominees.
Friday 14th February ballot papers made available if required.
Friday 21st February (4pm) Close of ballot.
Friday 21st February (4:10pm) Vote Count.
Monday 24th February Declare poll.
Wednesday 26th February - First meeting of School Council. (6PM START)
There are two school council meetings per term (Occasionally a third). Every council member is asked to serve on one of the sub committees of School Council.
Every council member is required to attend school governance training. (Available online)
Every council member is required to complete the pre reading of reports prior to the commencement of the council meeting.
The terms of office, membership categories and number of positions in each membership category open for election are attached below along with the nomination forms. Only nomination forms filled in correctly and complete can be accepted.
