As we enter Week 4 of the school year, it has been wonderful to see our students settling into their new classrooms with such confidence and enthusiasm. I am incredibly proud of them and grateful for the dedication of our staff, who have provided fantastic support in ensuring a smooth transition.

Students have been highly engaged in their learning, both in their core subjects and in specialist lessons such as Physical Education, Science, Arts, Music, and Personal and Social Capabilities. It is fantastic to see their enthusiasm and active participation in these diverse learning experiences.

Our Future Ready Classrooms have started their weekly interschool sports excursions. Last week, despite the warm weather, students eagerly began learning the fundamentals of cricket. Their motivation, teamwork, and ability to follow instructions were truly impressive, and it was great to see them having so much fun while developing new skills.

Meanwhile, our VPC students have settled into their work experience programs, gaining valuable hands-on experience and refining new skills with each session. This practical learning opportunity is essential in building their confidence and preparing them for future pathways.

A friendly reminder that this week and next are SSG weeks—an excellent opportunity for you and your child to meet with their classroom teacher to discuss and set both short-term and long-term learning goals for the term. These meetings also provide a valuable space to share any important information that may support your child’s learning journey.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our parents and carers for your ongoing collaboration and support. Your involvement plays a crucial role in shaping our students’ success, and we truly appreciate the partnership between home and school. Together, we are creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where every student can thrive. Thank you for being such a valued part of our school community!

ROOM 20

As we embark on this new term, it is a pleasure to welcome new students, teachers, and staff. This period of change presents both challenges and opportunities, and we look forward to supporting each other as we navigate this journey together.

This semester, our focus is on fostering stronger connections within our community. We aim to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves and embracing personal challenges. It is essential that we cultivate a positive and supportive atmosphere, allowing each individual to thrive.

Students in Room 20 are encouraged to engage actively in this process, contributing to the collective growth of our group. We believe that by learning together and sharing experiences, we can make the most of every opportunity that arises. It is important to remember that while we strive for personal development, we can also have fun along the way.

So far, this year has been filled with enjoyable moments for Room 20. We have celebrated both Ali and Jake's birthdays, which brought excitement to the classroom. Jake generously treated the class to a McDonald's lunch that everyone thoroughly enjoyed, while Ali's choice of a rainbow cake was a delightful addition to the festivities.

In addition to these celebrations, Adam and Ali were presented with their Student Leader badges, a moment they both took great pride in. It is wonderful to see students taking on leadership roles within the class.

Students in Room 20 have also engaged in various specialist programs, including cooking, art, health and physical education. These activities have provided opportunities for creativity and teamwork, contributing to a well-rounded educational experience.

As we look ahead to the remainder of the year, we are excited about the prospect of continuing to learn and grow together. There are many more opportunities for fun and learning in 2025, and we anticipate a productive and enjoyable time ahead.
