Two years ago Ms Bartleton and I were honoured with a Sir John Monash Award. I am delighted to announce that we may have inspired one of our students to follow our lead. A huge congratulations to David in 5TL. David was awarded the Sir John Monash Young Leader Award. presented with his award at a ceremony on the 20th of August. Over the past few years David has volunteered each week to help others in the community. He has also been a leader in encouraging his friends (David Y, Evan, Leo, Oliver, Rain, William and Wilson)to join him in storytelling, teaching, science and environmental activities.
David was also the driver in our school being part of the Container Deposit Scheme and regularly donates the money he collects from bottles and cans to the school.
Congratulations David – we are super proud of you.
David Zheng-Young Leader Award (8-14 years)
Despite being of primary school age, David has already completed hundreds of volunteering hours through environmental projects and educational programs. His enthusiasm for helping others and inspiring fellow young people demonstrates leadership beyond his years.
