Camp Rumbug
When we arrived at camp Rumbug I was very excited. I had all my best friends in my cabin and my grade four friends said school camp is amazing! I was in cabin three with: Lola, Ily, Abby B, Emma, Mila, Sara, Aurora and Ava. After settling in we had our first activities. Mine were sensory trail and low ropes. That night we had the disco, dancing , shaking and playing while some sick beats played. Sleep wasn’t easy, my eyes may have been asleep but I could hear all the rage behind me. Seven teachers ended up coming into my cabin! In the end, we stayed up till 2am. Day two we had scrambled eggs, hash browns, baked beans and toast for breakfast with a truck full of sides. Activities 3-6 were also really fun. For me they were tree climbing, team challenges, flying fox and archery. For dinner we had iconic tacos Tuesday. Wednesday we did our final activities, giant swing (my personal favourite) and orienteering. Over all, camp is an awesome experience and I say you shouldn’t miss out on the fun.

Camp Rumbug Recount
We left on Monday in the bus and stopped halfway at a park called Koo Wee Rup to eat lunch. After the park we arrived and got assigned our cabins, I was in a ten boy cabin with a lot of my friends. The cabin had two bathrooms and two showers, we were in the Blackwood lodge. We went to our activity groups. My first activity was low ropes and sensory trail. That night we went to the disco. We had milk and cookies before bed. That night was also the night we had pasta for dinner. My favourite activities were the flying fox and tree climbing. My favourite food was the hash browns and baked beans for breakfast on the last day. Overall it was a very fun camp.

Camp Rumbug
On Monday 17th August I woke up at 8:15 in the morning. We arrived at school to drop our bags off in the green area at the front gate. At 8:45 we went on the bus. About one hour into the bus ride, we went to Koo Wee Rup and had a snack and a play. We went back on the bus and arrived at camp Rumbug. We dropped our bags into our cabins and went to our first activities. My first one was a high tree. It was really fun. After that we had morning tea. It was a donut and a muesli bar. After that, we did a team challenge where we all worked together. After that we had lunch and we all packed our lunches for the first day. Once we finished we went back to our cabins to have a shower and get dressed for dinner. It was carbonara pasta bolognese pasta. Once we finished dinner we went to line up for a disco, then we went to bed. We woke up in the morning and had breakfast. It was eggs. We continued through the day. At the end of the day we did passports to the world and then we went to bed. Again for our last day we had breakfast. It was baked beans, a hashbrown and some toast. We lined up in our activities group in the greenhouse. We did our last activities and we went back on the bus. Overall camp was amazing and it was a great experience.

Camp Rumbug
On 3/4 camp we experienced some very fun activities like…
The flying fox, a terrific ride where we went flying on a rope and we wore a harness so we would be safe because when we went on the flying fox, we went above a dirty green lake and we landed on a pile of tanbark where we needed to drag our feet on the tan bark so we don't fall, the giant swing: where we had the same harness and we were hanging on a string and when we pulled this band it dropped us and we were swinging so high, archery: we had a bow and arrow and we tried to hit the target, tree climbing: where we went climbing on a long tree branch with a harness on and to get down we needed to climb on a ladder, the disco: a wonderful and a fun dance night where there were some amazing songs that played and some horrible songs that played, but we still had a nice night .
The food: the food was delicious. On night 1 for dinner we had garlic bread and we also had scrambled eggs and for dessert we had some yummy ice cream and for night 2 we had beef tacos and for dessert we had jelly.

We stopped for a play at Koo Wee Rup for a play and recess then we rode for another hour an a half. Finally we arrived at camp Rumbug. We unloaded the suitcases and went to the auditorium, the instructor told us to set up our cabins and get in to our activity groups I was in a cabin with Jonah, Jacob, Tom, Liam and Sean. Our first activity was flying fox and archery after that, we had afternoon tea which was cinnamon doughnuts. Then we showered and had dinner, dinner was pasta bolognese then we had dessert which was ice cream and custard. After that we had a disco. But I got so overstimulated with the music that I had to leave the room! Then we had supper which was cookies and milk. Then we went to sleep.
Day 2: We woke up and had breakfast which was eggs on toast. Then we had giant swing, I went 21 meters high then we had morning tea and sensory trail and low ropes, sensory trail is where you wear blackout goggles and do a super easy obstacle course.
