Orchestra fundraising Soirée - Tuesday 12th September
Join us for an evening celebrating the musical diversity of our local community covering genres from Classical through to jazz and pop.
We invite you come together to share music and raise funds to support the SKiPPS Orchestra, our next generation of musicians! Coming up to a decade old, the Orchestra has provided an invaluable opportunity for students to play in an ensemble and begin a lifelong musical journey. We will be lucky enough to have some former SKiPPS students perform on the night along with other friends of the Orchestra.
Performances from previous soirées have included opera singing, a Tuba and fiddle klezmer duet and a Cello ensemble with eight cellos!
If anyone would like to enquire about performing, please let Simon Chatfield know (simechaty@hotmail.com or 0411441966). Classical, jazz, pop or any other genres are welcome! Solos, duets or other size ensembles.
All funds from the ticket sales will go towards the payment of our Orchestra conductor to supplement the voluntary contributions of orchestra member’s families and help keep the Orchestra experience accessible.
People are also welcome to donate via our Australian Cultural Fund donation program https://artists.australianculturalfund.org.au/s/project/a2E9q000000JlV2. All donations are appreciated. Donations over $2 are tax deductible
