Principal’s Message

Mrs Katherine Baird

Greetings, families and friends of Sacred Heart Boggabri, and welcome to Week 6.

We're officially into the back half of Term 3 and we don't look like taking the foot off the pedal any time soon!

As you probably read last week, I have been asked to fulfil the role of Acting Principal at Sacred Heart Boggabri while Kath Baird is on leave following a recent medical event. At this stage, she is set to return at the start of Week 8, but will confirm this closer to the date.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big 'Thank you' to you all. I walked into your beautiful school last Thursday and was greeted with tremendous warmth and generosity from the get-go. Your children have been very kind and patient as I stumble over their names or forget where I need to be and I haven't once felt like I didn't belong. I am thoroughly enjoying being a part of the K-2 space and look forward to conducting learning walks into the Years 3-6 space to witness the magic that's occurring there too.

From what I've already observed, I'm noticing a common thread of Sacred Heart students being engaged learners who know where to go for help when needed and who are being supported by calm and dedicated teaching staff. It is a real pleasure to see.

Thank you, again, and I look forward to meeting more of you across the next couple of weeks. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if there is anything I can assist with while I'm here.

Happy Birthday to Lexie who will be turning 12 on 25th and Mrs Baird who celebrates her Birthday on the 27th, we hope you both have a fabulous day.

Take care

Mal Frend

Acting Principal
