This term so far, we have learnt about Persuasive texts. Students have practised stating their opinion and backing up their opinion with reasons. Students brain stormed and shared our ideas. We learnt about emotive language and how that strengthens our arguments. 

We have been investigating minibeasts and learning about how minibeasts are important for our environment. We have read books and created information reports. Students have learnt about the parts of a minibeast, where minibeasts live, what they look like and what they eat. We were very lucky to have Reptile Encounters come to the school last week, students were able to hold a few minibeasts and learn interesting facts. 

 In Numeracy, we have been learning about sharing and equal groups, we have explored arrays and repeated addition as ways to help us solve problems that involve sharing. 

There have been some fun events this term, we have enjoyed Book Week and the Book Parade. We celebrated National Day Against Bullying and Violence, we wore orange and discussed how we can be kind and stand up to bullying.
