An explanation text is a nonfiction text which describes how or why things happen. 

VOCABULARY

Structure of explanation text 

Title: The name of text

Defining Statement/Introduction: Introduce a topic or process being explained. 

Description: Provide extra information about this topic.

Explanation: Write in order, how and why something works or occurs.

Final Comment/Conclusion: Provide a final explanation.
