Our Greatest Weapon is Prayer
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”-1 Thessalonians 5:16
Jentezen Franklin once said “The most powerful people on the face of this earth are those who have learned how to pray. Not people who merely believe in prayer or talk about prayer — but people who take time to pray.”
Prayer is taking time to communicate with God. This communication is two way. While we can and should share our hearts desires, our pain and our joy with Him. Prayer is also an opportunity to listen for His voice and hear from Him. Prayer is the power on earth that moves the power in heaven. Jesus taught two important things about prayer: pattern and persistence. How did Jesus know what God wanted? He made a habit of praying (Luke 5:16).
The Son of God did nothing on His own – he always prayed. Jesus also taught us to ask, seek, and knock through prayer with persistence (Matthew 7:8).
In the pursuit of activating the power of prayer over the College, the Bayside Prayer Group has developed a Community Prayer Plan which provides 10 ways you can pray for the College. The hope of this plan is to empower and enable us, as a community, to be praying with a pattern and persistence across Term 4.
Please join together and take the time to incorporate the College Prayer Plan into your regular and family prayer time. Thank you in advance and anticipation for all that may come from our community praying together.

My Christian School Website
Bayside Christian College values the genuine faith of its staff. However, the Australian Law Reform Commission has released a consultation paper which would prevent schools like ours from choosing staff for their active lived faith. My Christian Schools website has been launched in association with the Australian Association of Christian Schools because it's time they heard from some actual parents—like you!
If you value the contribution of Christian staff and teachers, this is your opportunity to have your voice heard. Please visit the website and send a message to your MP about the difference Christian teachers and staff make in our school.
Blessings,
Mrs Toni Steinbergs
