Student Representative Council

What we have been doing...

We were super excited to see our ideas, and the ideas of our classmates, come together in the final design for our new school sports tops. We feel proud to be the voice of the students in our class and ensure Student Voice is strong at Karoo Primary School.

Upcoming Events

Friday, September 15 - Odd and Crazy Sock Day

The Student Representative Council has decided to hold an Odd and Crazy Sock Day.

This day is traditionally held November, but the students have decided to bring it forward to ensure we finish Term 3 in a fun way. This day encourages everyone to wear the most outlandish socks that they can imagine to show off their unique personality and style.

This day was originally created by the Anti-Bullying Alliance in the United Kingdom in 2017. The purpose is to raise awareness about bullying in school. The idea behind this day is that it’s not a bad thing for a person to stand out from the crowd, or at least, it shouldn’t be.

Please bring a gold coin donation. Funds raised will be given to Kids Help Line to support the work they do with primary school aged kids who may be affected by bullying.

Wednesday 18th October - School Disco

The students of the Student Representative Council (SRC) have decided that the theme of this year's disco will be 'Under the Sea'. Students are welcome to dress in an Under the Sea style.

The disco times are as follows:

Foundation - Year 3 5:30PM-6:15PM

Years 4 - Year 6 6:30PM-7:15PM

Tickets will be on sale from Tuesday, September 5 and cost $5. Tickets can be purchased from classroom teachers.
