Mr Butts' Announcements
Congratulations to the students who recently made their First Eucharist.
We will be holding our annual Father's Day Breakfast on Friday 1st September from 7:30am - 8:45am. All dads, grandfathers and important father figures are welcome to attend. The cost will be $10 per family, payable on the day. Students whose fathers cannot attend can still purchase breakfast at a cost of $5 per family.
Congratulations to the children who celebrated their First Eucharist last weekend. What a special day for the children and their families. A big thank you to Mrs Hicks for organising the masses and preparing the children.
It is with regret to announce that Mrs Loughran (5/6 Area), will be taking up a position at St Patrick's Tongala in 2024. Geenah has been a significant influence at St Mary's as a classroom teacher and on our Staff Leadership Team. She will be greatly missed by staff and students. We wish Geenah every blessing and success in her new role.
Well done to all Gr Prep/1/2 students for taking part in last week's swimming program. The behaviour was excellent and the children were very engaged. Thank you to the junior teachers for organising the program.
Our School Council met last week. The main discussion points are as follows:
Good luck to our Gr 5/6 netball teams who are taking part in the State Netball championships this week. Go St Mary's!
I encourage our dad's to listen to Hamish Blake's podcast "How Dad's Dad". Lots of great ideas and fun ways to connect with your kids.

Madelyn Pearce
Madelyn is a quietly confident young person who is becoming a real leader at St Mary's. Her acting as Snow White in the Gr 3/4 plays was a great example of how confident she has become. Madelyn has excellent attendance and is consistent in all areas of PBIS. Thank you Madelyn for being such an exceptional role model.

Jax Keep
Jax is a quiet and thoughtful student who is always very respectful towards his peers and adults. Jax also has a great memory for facts and has a wonderful general knowledge. Recently his classwork, particularly his writing has gone to a new level. Well done Jax!
I've decided I don't trust stairs - they're always up to something!
And I also I don't trust trees - they seem kinda shady!
