District Swimming:

Congratulations to our 8 students who competed at the District Swimming Carnival on Monday held at Tintern Grammar. We are very proud of your efforts with some very tough competition from other neighbouring schools. 

 

District competitors:

Lachie 3JR – 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke & medley relay

Kiara 3DB – 50m freestyle, 50m breaststroke & freestyle relay

Kai 5JK – 50m freestyle, 50m breaststroke & freestyle relay

Senior Gala Day #1

Just a reminder that our first senior Gala Day in next Tuesday 3rd March. Teams have been posted in the senior corridor for students. Please consent and pay for the event on compass if you haven’t already done so. We look forward to our first Gala Day for 2026 and a wonderful new experience for the year 5’s. 

 

District Tennis (year 5 & 6 students):

This is a final call out for year 5 & 6 students who play competition Tennis or lessons outside of school and may be interested in competing at the District Tennis Carnival. 

Date: Friday 6th March

Location: Yarra Valley Grammar

Cost $15 per student

National Ride2School Day:

National Ride2School Day is coming up on Friday 20th March, 2026. National Ride2School Day is Australia’s biggest celebration of active travel and one of the best days on the school calendar. Let’s discover the joy of riding and kick-start healthy habits for the future. Students can ride, scoot, skate or walk to school. Remember to wear a helmet if riding. Students in Prep – Year 3 must be accompanied by an adult. You can park and leave your bike or scooter at school for the day in the following areas:

From 8:30am

Prep-2 – Turf area near the prep sandpit (sections will be set up). Write your name and class on a tag supplied and park your bike or scooter.

Year 3-6 – Bike shed and senior courtyard area outside the PAC (sections will be set up). Write your name and class on a tag supplied and park your bike or scooter.

We’re a happy Junior team at Croydon Hills…..

Last Thursday the year 1’s and 2’s were treated to a special visit from some AFL Hawthorn Football players. The players spoke a little about themselves and our fabulous Juniors were able to ask them some questions as well as receive some signatures and photos. We would like to thank the “AFL play schools” initiative for this free player appearance event.
