At Croydon Hills Primary School, Chinese (Lunar) New Year (17 Feb – 3 Mar) provides a meaningful opportunity for our community to celebrate culture, heritage and global connection. Lunar New Year is observed across a number of countries, including China, Vietnam, South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia, and we are proud to acknowledge the many families within our school community who share connections to these nations.
As a school, we remain committed to fostering respect, inclusion and a genuine appreciation of diversity. Our next whole-school assembly, to be held on 13th March in the Stadium, will acknowledge Harmony Week (16–22 March) and the rich diversity that strengthens our community. Through learning, celebration and shared experiences, we continue to build a strong culture of belonging where every student feels valued and respected.

A reminder to families that Croydon Hills Primary School will hold a Pupil Free Day on Friday, 6 March. On this day, staff will be engaged in professional learning focused on instructional pedagogy, led by highly regarded educational consultant Bron Ryrie Jones. This important work, and our ongoing partnership with Bron, supports our continued commitment to excellence in teaching and learning across the school.
