Flicker of Hope
A True Champion -One of our cherished families.
Katie's father Vid last year swam from Fremantle to Rottnest Island to raise money for the Flicker of Hope Foundation and awareness for Neurofibromatosis NF, and he is at it again this year, attempting the ‘Ice Mile’ in the Snowy Mountains on 10th August.
The ‘Ice Mile’ is a mile (1.6km’s) swim in temperatures lower that 5 degrees Celsius. For his training he has had only cold showers for the past 12 months, ice baths each day, swims in the bay and now upping the ante by doing early morning lake swims.
We are holding an online auction and raffle and would love if you could get involved. There is an array of items up for grabs, as well as a Cost of Living Buster 1st prize in the raffle. If there is nothing that catches your eye, there is also an area to make a donation.
