Opportunities for all students
Year 7 My Strengths
The Year 7 cohort participated in the MyStrengths program this week. Through an activity run by the MyStrengths team, students were able to identify five of their personal strengths and discuss them with their peers and coaches.
The group also discussed “resilient people” and the mindset needed to overcome tough situations. Everyone went home with a personalised pack of their strengths and a little more self-awareness on what makes them unique. We continue to work on developing our students through great initiatives like these.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the program.
Year 7 Innovation Electives
Year 7 students have been actively exploring their Innovation elective options during Connect this week. In Year 8, they will have the exciting opportunity to participate in two different electives, allowing them to pursue their interests and enhance their skills. We extend our thanks to Miss Preston, the Timetable Team, Year Advisers, and Connect teachers for their valuable support throughout this process. We also encourage parents and carers to engage with their child by reviewing the elective options together on Google Classroom.
Year 11 Ski Trip
Our recent Year 11 Ski trip was a huge success. Students and staff were very excited! For some students, this was their first opportunity to see snow and experience skiing and snowboarding in the Smiggins Holes Valley at Perisher Alpine Resort and experience the natural beauty of Mt Kosciuszko National Park.
Year 11 skiers had an amazing experience at Jindabyne. For some students, this was their first opportunity to see snow and experience skiiing and snowboarding in the Smiggins Holes Valley at Perisher.
