Encouraging students to reach their full potential

Attendance matters

The Government recommends a minimum attendance of 90% each year. The graph below depicts how the percentages may impact student learning. Regular attendance has shown to greatly improve student outcomes during and post-school. It has also been proven to have a positive impact on student wellbeing.

Year 12 Timber

The Year 12 timber projects are all but done and the students have been adding their final touches to their work to ensure that they are ready for marking. The works will be marked in the coming weeks. On display were some marvellous pieces including the beautiful card table and rocking chair (pictured below) as well as a handmade wine barrel, bedside cabinets, display units and a token chest.  A big thanks to Mr Miller who has been opening the workshop every morning since mid-last term to allow the students extra time to work on their jobs.

Best wishes to all our students.
