Hello St Andrew’s Families!

 

We will have our Athletics Carnival next Thursday25th July for all Years 3-6 students. The event will be at Davies Reserve. Students will be walking to the venue with their teachers at 8:55am. Any students who arrive late will have to stay at school for the day. Students will walk back to the school with their teachers at 2:15pm.

 

What students should bring:

  1. Fruit 
  2. Snack 
  3. Lunch 
  4. Water for the whole day 
  5. Small backpack to carry items 
  6. Sport attire and footwear 
  7. Extra clothes if needed (for example, additional jumper, raincoat, extra socks)

Year 5/6 Swimming Program

As part of our Physical Education Program, Swimming lessons will be conducted for Years 5 and 6 students in Term 3. 

All students will be involved in an intensive Swimming Program over 8 days at Aquastar Swim School – 24 Arco Lane, Heatherton 3202.

Lessons will be 45 minutes duration. Your child will have swimming lessons each school day commencing on Monday 29th July 2024 and concluding on Thursday 8th August 2024. There will be no swimming lesson on Friday 2nd August.

 

All students are required to wear swimming caps in the pool (unless sensory issues makes this too difficult). It is also strongly advised that students wear goggles to provide for a better swimming experience. 

 

Lessons are part of the Physical Education Curriculum and all children are expected to participate in the Swimming Program. 

Any child who does not participate in the program must have a doctor's certificate and will be expected to attend the pool. They will travel on the bus to the pool with the rest of their class.

The cost of the Swimming Program is  $130 and  has been included on your yearly statement.
