Urban Adventurers - new after school opportunity

Starting next term, we have an exciting new extra-curricular activity starting, taking place after school on a Monday.

Urban Adventurers is a an outdoor after-school and holiday club for kids in Year 2-6 who thrive on being outside exploring, but live in the city. The programs are led by nature-play educators.

The group will meet at school at 3:30pm and then will head off-site with the trained educators to explore the natural surroundings of Albert Park.

Each season, kids explore a different part of their neighbourhood, getting to know its ecosystems and learning how to act as its guardians through play.

Activities range from beachcombing to nature-inspired crafternoons; with lessons on environmental care to help kids build mindful connections to nature and place.

Through activities and guided reflections, kids will build persistence, resilience and awareness of their community and the natural world.

Urban Adventurers are a local company who have run a very successful program at Elwood Primary School in the first half of the year and are now offering this opportunity to our SKiPPS community.

Families can sign up for a free trial session on Monday 15th July to allow children to see whether they enjoy it before possibly committing to the rest of the term.
