The BOOK FAIR is returning in Term 3.
We are looking forward to hosting a Lamont Book Fair at our school in Week 1 & 2 of Term 3. This is a family and Australian run company we are working with again this year.
A Book Fair is an opportunity to purchase quality literature for your children or friends. All students will have preview times in their Library lessons during week one. Students will bring home a wish list to discuss with you about them purchasing one or more of their selected books. Purchases are made either online or orders can be placed in the class buckets with the correct purchase amount and students will receive their books within a few days of placing their order.
Once all classes have viewed the selection of books in their Library lessons in week one we will open it up to families.
Parents are invited to preview the books on Friday 19th July from 3.00pm - 3.45pm and then before or after school in Week 2 until the following Friday morning 26th July.
Our Book Fair will be held in our school library. Parents are welcome to view the books on display.
Please note there is no obligation to buy but our school does receive a generous commission in the form of books to add to our library.
Along with EFTPOS and cash payments we offer the option of payment via our online payment portal. The online payment portal works similar to a voucher. We deliver the book fair as normal, the students browse the book fair and fill out their wish lists. They then take their wish list home and make the payment online (this includes inputting students name, grade and what books they want), the student then returns to school to collect the books from you at the book fair. Online payment instructions are on the back of the wish list.
We send you through a summary of the online payments made each morning , so that you know who is due to come in and what they are getting and we can even put the books aside.
Kinder / ELC visits in Term 2.
THANK YOU to our 5\6 students that have visited St John's Kinder and Guardian Childcare centre this term to read picture storybooks to the children. We look forward to continuing these visits in Term 3 and have added 3 Bees Childcare Centre to our visit dates.
Storybox is changing to Storyboxhub
The first change you’ll notice will be a move to a new domain name, storyboxhub.com from 28th May, 2024. All existing storyboxlibrary.com.au links will automatically redirect to the new domain. This move is the first step to provide greater functionality for users. There is no immediate action required by subscribers, however we would recommend updating saved bookmarks when you have time.
