SACSA SOCCER CARNIVAL

On Wednesday, week 7, 16 boys (yr 6) and 15 girls (yr 5/6) from Good Shepherd headed to West Beach for the SACSA Soccer Carnival.

The weather was glorious, and our players were excited! After a slow start and a few loses, both our teams started to find their rhythm and showed great improvement.

The boys team (coached by Mr Rowe) finished in 5th, with 3 wins and 2 loses.

The girls team (coached by Mr Wain) finished in 5th, with 2 wins, 2 draws and 3 loses. 

Well done to all students, you represented yourselves and your school proudly. Special thanks to Miss Barrett and the parents for attending and offering support throughout the day.

GS Little Jordans Basketball

The Prescott Bulls started off strong last night, taking the lead for the first 7 minutes of play. Our team stayed focused, with players giving it their all to turnover the ball. Success! By half time we were in front by 5 points. We took charge with more great defence in the second half and scored the first three goals. Our momentum was unstoppable, finishing the game winners, 19-30. Another enjoyable, positive team effort to watch. Well done to all 6 players!

This week we versed CH Cubs and they were a fast team. We kept rebounding and looked for each other playing as a team. They attacked the ring and got rewarded with many free throw opportunities.

Yr 4/5 GS Warriors

Last week vs top team Pedare Boomers. We went into the game with a focus on team work and fun and played our best game for a 2 point win. Good Shepherd team work was on show. Congratulations Eden on a new high score. Everyone had a highlight this game.

SANFL Auskick School Holiday Program

Are your kids into footy? Or are you looking for something fun to do during the school holidays? SANFL are running two school holiday programs, 'NAB Auskick' for 4 to 8 year olds, and 'AFL Superkick' for 7 to 13 year olds.

When: July 18th and 19th

Where: North Adelaide FC (Prospect)

Cost: $50, single registration covers both days.
