Derinya Dance

Congratulations to our Derinya dancers, singers and band! On Wednesday 22nd May, these students performed in a wonderful showcase at Frankston High School Theatre.

With over 30 performances it was a whirlwind of colour, great music and fun.

Thank you to Julie Baltas for her work with the Grade 3 Dance Gems, Bec Harun for her efforts with the Gr 4 Dance Dynamos and Shelley Alderman for always ensuring the Grade 5 Dance Stars shine on stage.

Amazing work to Liz Catford for her time spent with the Senior Choir, they were sensational.

Brilliant first performance to the Grade 6 Boys, Eric Middlebrook, Toby Bauer, Caleb Smith and Henry Suryawan and their band ETCH! It is the first time the Showcase has been able to include a band and they were terrific.

Special mention to Madison Runchey who trains the Grade 6 Hip Hop team - Dynamic, they looked fierce and we know they are going to smash the competition at their first event AASCF Winterfest.

Lastly, thanks to Lindi Morrison, for coordinating the Showcase event from lighting, music and sound to costumes, choreography and logistics. Lindi also works very hard with the Grade 6 Derinya Dance Team as they prepare two Jazz teams - Diamonds and Darlings, one lyrical team - Divine and one pom team - Dare. Good luck to them as they compete at the AASCF Winterfest dance competition on 29th & 30th June at the Melbourne Convention Centre.
