We have recently had an audit completed of all trees on our site. This was completed as part of the Safe Tree Program provided by the VSBA. The program engages a qualified arborist to assess the health of all existing trees on our school site. It also addresses the recommendations for high risk tree works to be carried out.

Once the arborist’s report is completed it is then forwarded to the VSBA for approval before being sent back to our school. We will then liaise with qualified arborists to undertake any of the tree works recommended.

Also, in the coming weeks we have our yearly ‘Playground Audit’ to ensure that all aspects of both the Junior and Senior playgrounds are in safe working order.

Providing a safe environment within the school grounds is important for our students, staff and community. We understand that accidents happen from time to time but trying to mitigate these through good practice and process is always one of our priorities.
