Maths Olympiad & Maths Games Assembly

At Assembly this week we presented the 2024 Maths Olympiad & Maths Games teams with certificates of participation for their hard work throughout the year and successful completion of these competitions.

Congratulations to these students for their participation and enthusiasm for the programs:

I would also like to acknowledge that Tyson, Ashton and Justin all participated in the 2023 Maths Olympiad teams as Year Five students. It is a fantastic credit to them that they have been part of the team for two years.

Further congratulations is given to these children who won additional awards:

Tyson Vo (Maths Olympiad) - was the highest scoring of the SJV students, and his score placed him in the top 10% of students in the competition - an amazing achievement

Ashton Ferdinands (Maths Olympiad) - was awarded a Special Encouragement certificate, in recognition of his enthusiasm towards learning strategies and understanding the challenges

Paxton Leao & Jason Tang (Maths Games) - were the highest scoring of the SJV students 

Paxton Leao, Jason Tang, Khushman Sran, Yilong Chen & Ethan Alexander (Maths Games) - were awarded Maths Star patches, for their enthusiasm in the program, effort and positive dispositions when competing.

Thank you to the parents who were able to attend the assembly and join us in celebrating these students' fantastic achievements in Maths.
