Junior School News
Foundation (Prep-Year 2)
Prep B has had a wonderful start to Term 4.
We have been loving our exploration of plants and animals. We have brought ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ to life by planting our own beanstalks. We are learning about what plants need to grow through watering our beanstalks.
In Writing we have been retelling our experiences from the Reptile Encounters incursion. We have been learning about money in numeracy through creating a money train and playing shop.
For Statistics and Data we have been exploring shapes and colours. Prep B have been loving exploring ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See?’ in their Library sessions with Dimity.
In Art with Ane, Prep B have been painting and creating beautiful artworks.
In GMP and PE with Jack, Prep B have been learning how to use their bodies through scooters and movement.
In STEM with Kieran, Prep B have been learning about living and nonliving things.
And in Performing Arts, Prep B have been expressing themselves. We look forward to continuing the fun for the rest of the term.
Lower Primary (Years 3-4)
This term, our Year 3/4 students have been busy with hands-on numeracy and literacy activities.
In Numeracy, students explored money and data displays by sorting, ordering, and counting coins and notes. They practiced displaying data through tally marks and objects, making numeracy both practical and fun.
In Literacy, we integrated our inquiry topic on Animals and Their Habitats. Students learned animal names and habitats, building vocabulary and understanding of the natural world through books, visuals, and discussions. Their curiosity about wildlife has been fantastic to see!
For Halloween, students had a "spook-tacular" time dressing up as their favourite spooky characters! The festive costumes brought extra excitement and smiles to our day.
Thank you for your continued support. We’re excited for more learning and fun ahead this term!
