Girls Vertical Classroom

Market Day

The Girls Vertical Classroom held a market day on Thursday 7th November. There were many items for sale including lots of handmade jewellery, scrunchies, Lemon Myrtle lip balm (all natural ingredients), Sleep Well Lavender candles and slime.

There was also a lolly jar guessing competition and many yummy treats to buy and eat, including Uncle Dicko's Mum's lemon myrtle damper, biscoff slice, cupcakes, chicken rice paper rolls, choc chip cookie sandwiches, dutch pancakes with maple syrup and rocky road made to order.  All food was homemade by students and/or staff and their families and a big thanks to them for their effort and time.

All of the girls in GVC have been very hands on and busy getting the jewellery and scrunchies made, coming up with their own designs, colours and styles. They were assisted greatly with the photo's, and the marketing of the products by our wonderful SLSO Tiffany. A big thanks to Miss E and Miss M who have provided wonderful guidance for this initiative.

The market day was a great opportunity to come down and say hello, show support and see what the girls have achieved.

The GVC raised over $800 on the day, which will be donated to the Kempsey Pound and the Kempsey Women's Refuge for Domestic Violence.

Thank you to all the staff who came and supported the girls, we really appreciate it.

Miss E.
