Caring Learning Growing: Every Child Every Day
Dear Families,
Welcome to the end of another great week of learning and fun.
Last Friday we celebrated Mission Day with mass and an hour of fundraising. Our Mass was a beautiful way to start our day. I am so incredibly proud of the work the children did to plan for and organise their stalls. Thanks to all our families for their support for this initiative, which is such a huge part of our Catholic Social teaching. To raise $2034 in an hour is an amazing achievement. Congratulations to everyone involved and thanks to Mrs Wilson and Ibu Brennan for organising our Mass.
This week, I have had to send a letter to our Senior families regarding some online behaviour. While these matters occur out of school the impact can often be seen at school. Navigating digital technologies is one of the greatest challenges of parenting.
I have included a link to the esafety commission, which has the most incredible online resources for families.
I urge you to take the time to read their information and research.
Our children have one childhood, a time when their brains and bodies develop rapidly. They seek support and boundaries from their families.
I have attached an example to the newsletter of the information provided by esafety on, 'Screen Time and how much is too much.'
Please don't hesitate to pop in and chat if you ever have any concerns in this area.
We have positions on our School Advisory Committee for 2025. I really value the voice of families, and this is always a wonderful opportunity to hear from families. If you are interested, please pop into the office and let us know you're interested.
A reminder that we have a school closure day next Monday, November 4. While children may not be at school, our staff will be working. We are also closed for the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, November 5.
Have a great long weekend and we will see you all Wednesday.
God bless
Louise
