Devante Johns & Saah Falla

We had 2 students compete in the State Athletics yesterday at Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park. Devante Johns (Year 12) and Saah Falla (Year 11) represented Staughton College at the Athletics meet which saw over 2000 students from across the State competing, aiming to become State Champion of their respected events. 

Devante competed in the 18-20 Year Old Shot Put managing to finish 4th in the state with a throw of 11.16 metres. Devante has been a great contributor to our sports program over his years at Staughton College, making multiple regional Athletics meets and this year being his first representation at State level.

Saah Falla ran his 16 Years 200m event and managed to finish 3rd in his race with a time of 23.13 seconds. To make this level of competition is an achievement in itself but to make the podium is something that needs to be recognised accordingly. 

Andrew Nielson

Congratulations to Andrew Nielsen of Year 11C who won the Murray Bridge Classic Youth Title this past weekend. This now puts Andrew at the top of the World Darts Federation Boys Rankings in Australia! This is a huge achievement and another demonstration of our students doing great things outside of the classroom.
