Interims Term 4
Term 4 Interim Reports
Term 4 Interim Reports will be available on the XUNO Parent Portal from close of business Friday 1st November.
These reports reflect student learning from the start of Term 3 Week 8 to the end of Term 4 Week 2.
Understanding interim reports
VCE & VCE VM & VPC (Year 11 and 12 Students)
There will be no interim reports for any VCE or VM subjects this term. The reason for this decision was due to one of timing with respect to the Senior Sign-Off Process. This was to avoid discrepancies between the interim report and the more up-to-date sign-off sheet.
If your child is at risk of not passing a unit in VCE or VM, you will have received direct communication from their teacher or from one of the Learning Coordinators. Be sure to check the XUNO Parent Portal for updates.
Years 7-10: Learning Engagement and the Approaches to Learning
Every student is assessed on how often they demonstrate the behaviours of the Staughton Student Behaviour Matrix in each class. Students who Often or Always demonstrate Learning Behaviour, Learning Effort and Respectful Behaviour are providing themselves with the opportunities and tools to learn effectively.
We encourage parents, staff and students to discuss ways to understand and demonstrate learning behaviours as a practical way to improve your child’s learning growth.
Years 7-10: Learning Interactions and Learning Progress
Learning Interactions are class tasks that your child has completed in order to demonstrate their engagement, learning progress and growth in each subject. A subject that normally has 6 periods a week would expect 2-3 learning interactions completed per week. A subject that normally has 3 periods a week would expect 1-2 learning interactions completed per week.
Learning Progress provides an indication of whether your child is demonstrating learning growth, regardless of the level from which they are starting. A teacher judgement of Not Yet Demonstrated indicates that your child may need additional parent and teacher communication and collaboration to support your child’s learning.
Be sure to contact your child’s teacher with any questions or concerns. This can be done by:
- using the messaging platform on the XUNO Parent Portal
- calling the school office during operating hours
- emailing directly
