New - Performing Arts

In Performing Arts this term, we are focussing on Drama skills.

We are currently finishing practises for our Grandparents/ Special Friends Day concert!

This week, we have been discussing the "Success Criteria for a Good Audience" with all of our classes.

We have discussed, that this criteria is for all times we are members of an audience - at assemblies, in classrooms, in social circles - not just in Performing Arts.

Teachers will also be using this criteria in class and to remind the students how to behave as successful audience members and behaviours expected when in and audience setting.

Please see the attached flyer on Successful Audience Criteria.

Thankyou

Mrs Hicks

New - Preps Explore 'Farm to Family'

We had so much fun with our term topic of ‘Farm to family’ immersion today.

We explored maths by feeding our animals.

We spelt out key farm words.

Practiced following directions and speaking confidently by playing farmer says.

We problem solved by building barns for our animals and designed farms in small groups.

We cannot wait till next week to learn about how honey is made.

We also had a special guest visitor who watched over us and kept us all wide awake with his cock-a-doodling in our classroom today.

New - Preps Learn about Bees & Honey

Today we explored where honey comes from.

We learnt how we have to wear safety clothing to get honey and how we safely get honey.

We learnt how bees pollinate, we made our own bees with hairy legs to pick up pollen and took it back to our own hives.

We explored hives and honey and got to make our own honey sandwich with Logan’s honey.

We read books about how bees make honey and sequenced the process.

We also explored key focus words on bees and set up our own shop and bee keepers hives practicing the key words.

Best of all we all got a jar of Logan’s honey to take home to share with our family.

New - Building Works

You may have noticed a new addition to the Prep rooms. We have a new access ramp to help make it safer and easier to enter and leave the Prep buildings. It is now finished and ready to use.

Our ramp is amazing - Thank you to Ryan Armstrong Carpentry and Sibio Engineering for this great addition.

REMINDER - Bus Travel in 2025

Shepparton/Mooroopna School bus applications for the 2025 academic year are now open for all year level students requiring travel on a country bus (not town bus).

The Shepparton/Mooroopna School Bus website has developed a new and more efficient process for the School Bus Program bus applications.

Moving forward, parents can easily access and submit bus applications via Microsoft Forms. We believe this will help parents and ensure a smooth transition to the new process.

Simply click on the link below to complete the Bus Travel Application Form.
