Year 12

Creating Futures Together

As the Year 12 students officially concluded classes Friday 18th October, it is timely to acknowledge the celebrations and significance of our Class of 2024.  Last week at their final College Assembly, the executive Leaders: Hannah, Molly and Shay spoke of the cohort’s gratitude, legacy and respect of the time at Wheelers Hill Secondary College. It was lovely to celebrate with the College, staff, students and Year 12 parents and especially the song “ I have a Dream” performed beautifully by Chloe and Sophia.

Thank you to Annette who captured special moments of this event.

This week students sitting VCAA written exams are in their final preparation with their teachers’ advice and guidance, both on site and at home. Following the Exam weeks, we will celebrate the Valedictory Evening Tuesday 10th December with loved ones and College staff. Tickets for this evening are now available via the email sent to all Year 12 parents/carers, which includes the TRYBOOKING link. Student tickets are available via the Compass Events and CSEF funding can be accessed for this event.

It has been a honour to be the Year 12 Learning and Wellbeing Leader with the Senior School Team of Miss Sharpe, Mr Molan and Mrs Grahame – Prowse. As a wise teacher once shared: “Accept every opportunity and challenge , work hard to achieve and succeed”.

I wish every student success with their exams and opportunities in 2025, beyond Wheelers Hill Secondary College.

Miss Jacinta Wilson
