NATIONAL HOCKEY CARNIVAL
Next week Sofia Michell will be travelling to Cairns to compete for NSW at the National Hockey Carnival. We wish her the best of luck.
ARMIDALE DIOCESAN ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
Last Friday our St Nicholas School Athletics Squad had an amazing day at the Diocesan Athletics Carnival at the TRAC. All of the children performed their best and many gained personal bests in their event.
At the end of the day we had children making it into the Diocesan squad to compete at the Polding Athletics Carnival in Newcastle on Friday 13 September: Mia Reed, Noah Grimley, Winsome Urquhart, Elijah Skilton, Hannah Davidson, Oscar McMurtrie, Sophia McManus, Bailey Maher, Carter Brown, Cohen Jones, Isabella Harding -Brown and Max Collett.
We also had huge success with champions and runner ups.
Junior Boy Champion: Max Collett
11 years Boy joint Champion: Carter Brown
11 years Girl Champion: Isabella Harding-Brown
12/13 years Boy Runner-up Cohen Jones
12/13 years Girl joint Runner up: Winsome Urquhart
Cohen Jones broke the 12/13 years 200m run record with a time of 27.11secs. The previous record was 27.56 seconds. Another athlete also broke the record in a later heat with a time of 27.05 secs. Hamish now holds the record.
RUGBY 7s
Yesterday Molly Jones and Lilli Steinbeck travelled to Sydney to compete at the Girls Rugby 7s carnival. Mr Henn was the manager for the team. Congratulations!
AFL AFTER SCHOOL CLINICS
Once again the AFL is hosting a 4 week long afterschool clinic at St Nicholas School.
Students who register will go straight to the AFL clinic at 3pm and can be collected from school at 4pm.
Registrations for Auskick (Years K-2) receive a Swans backpack with a bunch of fun footy merch inside. Registrations for superkick (2-6) receive a free footy!

TOUCH FOOTBALL
The new season of Touch Football is beginning on Monday August 19. Please head to Compass to be placed in a team.
BASKETBALL
Teams have now been registered for the new season on Basketball. It starts today. Players who have not registered correctly will not be able to take the court.

Just a reminder that the majority of sporting opportunities are only on Compass and it needs to be checked on a regular basis.
