Year 4 News
From Georgina, Year 4 teacher
Bookweek Extravaganza
We were inspired by Kit Wright’s poem, The Magic Box. Year 4 created amazing magic boxes and wrote their poems on ancient scroll paper!
Magic Treasure Box by Emina, Year 4
In my magic treasure box, I will put…
A feather from the brightest wings, which sings as loud as a lion’s roar,
The brightest star from up above, which shows me the dark secrets,
A diamond dancing at dusk, through different dimensions.
In my magic treasure box, I will put…
A magical tooth with a magical touch,
A dictionary with every word on every page,
The delicious smells from my sister’s cooking bombarding the room.
My magic treasure box I will put…
A silky sparkly scale from a mermaid tail
A cat of every colour, which is always pouncing,
A curse from dark witches and wizards.
In my magic treasure box, I will put…
A painting painted by human hands,
A warm hug from my family and everyone I love,
All the adventures I have experience spoken without truth.
My treasure box is fashioned with…
A rainbow painted on the sky,
Gemstones from the past, present and future,
And finally, the best of all everything I love.

𝓘n my magic box I will find,
A patch of glistening stars from mother nature,
Drops of aqua from the forgotten lands,
and the noise of a celestial whale wailing out loud.
𝓘n my magic box I will find,
The comfy warmth of a toasty fireplace owned by an immortal traveller,
The sound of a wispy kitsunes tail rustling through the sea of dainty blossoms,
And i will put in the Suns shining rays of 𝙷𝙾𝙿𝙴.
𝓘n my magic box I will find,
The sizzling sound of the moon and sun colliding against each other,
A majestical beam shining out of a undersea beacon,
And the tears of a siren calling out for 𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓹.
In my magic box...by Charlotte, Year 4
In my magic box I can find
A fiery red and gold fox,
The shock of a new-found surprise,
And drops of dew from dawn’s twilight.
In my magic box I can find,
A wreath of glistening white roses,
Ancient tales from the elfin world,
Three royal wishes whispered in Español.
In my magic box I can find
The touch of a shimmering opal,
Delicate leaves swaying in the gentle breeze,
Fairy’s laughter ringing through the forest.
In my magic box I can find
A blanket woven with violet secrets of the elfin world,
Celestial stardust falling from the moonlit sky,
A glimmer of hope in the smothering darkness.
My box is fashioned from amethyst and onyx,
With hope on the lid and stardust in the corners.
Its hinges are inscribed with the secrets of long forgotten realms.
