District Athletics

Earlier this term, 52 North Melbourne Primary Students represented the school at the Ascot Vale District Athletics event. On a lovely sunny day, all students competed to the best of their ability and were very supportive of each other and the other schools. Congratulations to all of our students on their results. We thank the staff and parents who assist us on the day. 10 of our students have progressed through to the Division event, to be held on Tuesday 10th September. We wish the following students the best of luck for their events!

Junior House Sports Day

What an incredibly fun day we had at the Junior Sports Day last Friday. From face paint to ribbons, it was wonderful to see all of our students dressed in their house colours. Across the day, students took part in a number of events and challenges, including ten pin bowling, tunnel ball, egg and spoon races and the raging favourite, tug of war. We thank all of the parents who assisted us on the day along with the specialist teachers, who ran the events for our students on the day!

Senior House Sports Day

Last Thursday we held our Senior Athletics Day for the first time since 2019! It was a fantastic day with lots of students getting into their House spirit. All students gave an amazing effort throughout the day and showcased their developing skills in various athletics disciplines such as Hurdles, Discus and Long Jump.

All teachers were impressed with the overall enthusiasm during the events, especially the encouragement of others even if they were in other Houses.

We thank you to all of the teachers who helped with the day and the parents who came along to cheer us on! A big shout-out to the House Captains who helped hand out extra awards such as; Best Dressed, House Spirit and Encouragement awards! They also had a huge impact modelling Good Sport Spirit and certain skills for the Junior School.
