The Primary Learning Journey was a wonderful time together as a community. The weather was perfect, and it was delightful to see the enthusiasm and smiles of parents and their children as the student's works and classrooms were showcased, families connecting and picnicking and, of course, the sausage sizzle. A lot of hard work and creativity went into the display by teachers and students, even going high-tech with QR Codes to view digital presentations of student's work. Well done to everyone involved!
Kindy and Pre-Primary had the chance to participate in an Einstein's incursion! We had the chance to make slime, make some volcanoes erupt and see how electricity passes through our bodies. The children had a wonderful time.
Kindy celebrated 100 days of school! We all dressed up as what we would look like at 100 years old. We collaboratively painted 100 hearts, made 100s and 1000s fairy bread, created crowns, did 100 different exercises, built Lego creations with 100 pieces and used 100 cups to make towers!
Primary Swimming 2024, that's a wrap! Well done to all the students who participated in the swimming program and to the parents and carers for the additional planning and support over this period. It is wonderful to see so many students progressing so well over the two-week period. Bring on summer!
The Kindergarten students have been focusing on the Fruits of the Holy Spirit. As part of our Goodness week, we have been collecting food donations to be given to the Salvation Army in Kwinana and distributed to local people in need. Thank you to all the Kindergarten families who donated to this worthwhile cause.
The King's College was adorned with a sea of yellow during our Primary Chapel as we shared stories of how God has helped us in times of need. Ps. Michael's message reminded us that even the heroes of the Bible faced discouragement, but they knew to turn their eyes to Jesus, who is our help in times of need. The students wore yellow accessories, adding extra cheer to the day. Secondary school students made and shared cupcakes at lunchtime, and staff were treated to sweet treats at morning tea to encourage conversations. Remember to ask, "RUOK?" and be a friend.
