A Message from Music Captain | Selena V.
Mandurah Baptist College invited The King's College to host their monthly Chapel Service. Our small team of Music Leaders from the Creative Club made it our mission to spread the spirit of God across their school through the ministry that we practice here at school. I would say that I was very nervous to worship lead in front of a school that is basically double the size of The King's College. We had a great ministry time at the Chapel, and it reminded me of everyone else back here at King's.
Pastor Michael shared a message about how, as students, we tend to pick up behaviour and act like the people we hang around. This really hit me as a Year 12 student. I have been through those phases where I would surround myself with people who aren't healthy for me. I noticed that the more I would hang out with them, the more I started to act like them. However, when I started doing small things like reading the verse of the day on my bible app or even praying more often, I found that I started feeling more peaceful and found a change in attitude throughout my daily life.
After our Chapel Service, the team and I hung out with their music team. We got to know them and answered their questions about our Chapel services and the Creative Club. Hopefully, they got something out of our answers they can apply to their own school plans. We are grateful for this opportunity to go out and minister to another school. Thank you, Ps Michael, for your leadership.
