Mr Cameron Drew - Deputy Principal Year 8
As we approach the end of another fast-paced term, it’s a great time to reflect on our recent events and celebrate the amazing things in the school.
Year 9 Camp: A Fantastic Experience!
Our Year 9 students recently returned from their much-anticipated camp, and what a memorable experience it was! Students embraced the opportunity to step out of their comfort zones, forge new friendships, and create lasting memories. We’re thrilled to hear such positive feedback and look forward to more adventures in the future! It was also amazing to have our first ever Rites of Passage group attend their camp followed by the celebration on their return. This an amazing opportunity for both the staff and the students to be involved.
Year 11 and 12 Exams: On the Horizon.
As many of you are aware, our Year 11 and 12 students are in the midst of their final exams for the term. Year 12s doing their Mock exams in preparation for their External Exams in Term 4 and the Year 11s doing their End of Unit 2 exams. We want to extend our best wishes to all the students who are working diligently to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. Remember, the hard work you’re putting in now will pay off, so keep up the great effort! A big thank you also goes out to our dedicated teachers and staff who have been supporting our students throughout this busy exam period.
Year 8 Fun Activities Day: A Resounding Success.
We’re thrilled to share that our Year 8 Fun Activities Day was a hit! Students enjoyed a day filled with creative challenges, sports, and a variety of interactive activities. It was wonderful to see so many students participating enthusiastically and having a great time. A special thank you to the teachers and volunteers who helped make the day such a success. The dance off in the afternoon sounds like it was a crowd favourite.
Year 10 Camp: Coming Next Term.
Looking ahead, we’re excited about the Year 10 camp scheduled for next term. This camp promises to be just as engaging and enriching as the Year 9 experience. Students will have the chance to immerse themselves in new activities, build teamwork skills, and enjoy the great outdoors. For those students not participating in camp, they will be involved in work experience, another great opportunity for students.
We would also like to acknowledge the many other great events and achievements by our students so far this term. All the best for the last couple of weeks of term.
