Last Thursday Senior Constable Stephanie Ward visited to speak to all of the children from Foundation to Year 6 about remaining safe online.  

“Online friends are different from the friends you see each day.  

You can’t be certain who they are, so be careful what you share and say”    

 and 

“Nothing is too bad that you can’t tell someone”

 (a trusted older sibling or adult) 

were the major messages from Stephanie.  She spoke about not sharing personal information, choosing smart usernames and who a trusted person to go to might be.  The ThinkUKnow program also has parent resources including the two shared here today for parents/carers and the children:

   ‘Learning about Personal Information and Image Sharing’

 and

 ‘Learning about Safer Gaming and Smart Usernames’.
